I'm Tam, a UX/UI designer based in Tāmaki Makaurau, recently finished my Bachelor of Interaction Design at AUT.

I freelance across UX and graphic design, and I've been getting into AI-augmented workflows lately. Claude Design, Code, Claude CoWork, seeing how these tools are changing the way designers and developers actually work together. Still figuring out what it all means, but I find it hard to look away.

Design, for me, isn't about making things pretty. It's about understanding what something needs to do and making sure the work actually serves that. I'd rather sit with a client's problem for a while than jump to something that looks good but doesn't fit.

Outside of work, I'm Thai, grew up between Bangkok and Auckland, and I'm a bit obsessed with film. Asian and Western cinema, I watch both. Letterboxd is open on my phone more than it should be. Top three: The Grand Budapest Hotel, Memories of Murder, The Godfather Part II. There's a through-line there around storytelling and I think it bleeds into how I approach design. I care about the story behind a project as much as the final thing.
